Coaching Accreditation

Netball Australia coaching framework is a six-tier progression with each stage being accredited.

Foundation

Beginner coaches, teachers, parents and NetSetGO coaches and outlines introductory coaching information and basic netball techniques. Note: there is no practical assessment for the Foundation Coach Course which is fully online. The new blended learning (online and face to face) Development Coach Accreditation Course includes a self-assessment process for the practical coach component during the face to face workshop. The various practical Assessment Forms are included below and for the Intermediate, Advanced and Elite courses, will be completed by the Coach Developers who facilitate and/or assess for each course

Development

Club, association and regional coaches and teachers aiming to further their netball knowledge. This course provides a good introduction to skill progression and fault detection with correction.

Intermediate

Those coaching Representative, Talent, Identification and State League level. This course extends the learning around skill progression in preparation for the practical component of the Advanced course.

Advanced

Coaches of Representative, Talent Identification and State League level. This course extends the learning around skill progression in preparation for the practical component of Advanced course.

Elite

Those coaching at highest level of State League, Deakin University Australian Netball League (DUANL) and Suncorp Super Netball (SSN), who are aspiring to be potential high performance coaches.

High Performance

Targeted at highest level State League, Deakin University Australian Netball League (DUANL) and Suncorp Super Netball (SSN) coaches working i a head coach capacity and have overall responsibility for the delivery of a netball program within our high-performance system.
